Default Alt-right violence in Charlottesville VA

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — A car plowed into a crowd of people at a Nazi-flavored white nationalist rally in Charlottesville Saturday injuring dozens of people and killing at least one person, bringing a violent end to a day marked with tension. The driver of the car is in custody with charges pending and police said the incident is being treated as a criminal homicide investigation.

In a tweet, Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer said he was heartbroken that a life has been lost and urged people to go home. City officials said a total of 35 people were injured in events relating to the "Unite the Right" rally, including those injured in the crash. At a press conference along with other city and state officials, Charlottesville Police Chief Al Thomas said the injuries of the crash victims ranged from life-threatening to minor.

The incident followed a march by hundreds of white nationalists Friday night, holding torches while chanting anti-Semitic slurs.

Among the marchers Friday was white supremacist Richard Spencer. Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke was among the marchers in Charlottesville on Saturday.

Mr. Trump first weighed in at 1:19 p.m. “We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!” the president said on Twitter.
Mr. Trump did not single out the marchers for their ideology. He did, however, amend his original tweet to include a reference to Charlottesville.

Chief Thomas said a 32-year-old woman crossing the street was killed in the crash. Police have not identified the victim by name. Videos and photos from the scene posted to social media showed several people on the ground with injuries. Three cars were involved in the crash that occurred in the area of Water and Fourth streets.

Graphic footage from the scene showed the car plowing into the crowd followed by people screaming. The car is then seen reversing and fleeing from the scene and several people can be seen trying to follow the car.

The slogan being shouted was "blood and soil" refers back to racist groups as far back as the 19th century and used as a slogan in Nazi Germany for the purification of the white race there.

Note that Trump insists on using the term extreme Islamic terror but cannot bring himself to use the appropriate white nationalist terror when it applies like here.

As for today in Charlottesville, Korea does not exist, only the pain of a riot based upon centuries old ideology that has proven depraved.

    fools they are.

old historical fact remains. and those that identify with identity politics are FOOLS.

NK right now is the only concern to a clear and present danger.

..........assuming the idiot in chief does not start an unnecessary war with the infant in chief of NK............then the long term theat and of primary concern for America will be Russia.

I don't give 2 shts about some idiotic statue (which should remain - its historical FACT - man up and allow it to remain - as a reminder of our shameful fast....so that it will never be forgotten).

I'm fed up with snowflakes/identity politics.

..a pox upon all american revisionists!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And of course the identity politics of the left, which have divided rather than united us, have nothing to do with the hatred fomented that is expressed here. . .

The left sowed the seed, now they are reaping the harvest.
