Default White house news conference without any recording devices?

Reporters were barred from recording video or audio footage during Monday afternoon's White House press briefing. "Make no mistake about what we are all witnessing," Jim Acosta, CNN's senior White House correspondent tweeted. "This is a WH that is stonewalling the news media. Hiding behind no camera/no audio gaggles." On CNN, Acosta described White House press briefings as becoming "kind of useless," and questioned why journalists bother attending if they are not allowed to record on camera or with audio. "It just feels like we're slowly but surely being dragged into what is a new normal in this country where the President of the United States is allowed to insulate himself from answering hard questions."

So whatever the news media reports, the president can claim it is all lies. So what happens when the media simply refuses to show up to one of these meetings? Nothing worth reporting from the Trump administration.

Personally, I think they should put them all out in a tent the back yard. No heat. No AC. Waaaaaaaaaaay too much "courtiers hanging around the court" for anyone...

BTW, you know who really expanded and created the "modern" press room we see today? FDR....

So even you think they should be able to have their recording devices whether it is in some tent or not is some other issue.

The problem is that even with recording devices Trump will deny anything he might have said saved on those devices.

Then why do you care? You're saying he'll lie or refute anything...then what does it matter?

This is so Tea Party of Trump. He'll be able to make all sorts of verifiably false claims, later claim he never said them, and call the media liars.

I think the thing Democrats are most upset about is that Trump has a copy of their playbook....and has been using Leftist tactics against them. That's the real treason, no?
