    the numder 3 item his GOD , in the greek for his is mao, and there are four word texts other meanings which are I,mine,his,my so it doesn't always mean one of the four. Now to answer your question because you want to belittle someone is this he prayed to his father who is GOD and he is his son.

    Hebrews 5:7
    Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

    Number 3 - prayed to him that could save him
    It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8 KJV

    mr the question here is the truth the CHRIST JESUS in the Christian bible is of the GOD HEAD as the SON of GOD AND HE is the very image of the invisible GOD, my LORD serves you and me if we believe in HIM and the HIM is GOD in the flesh. The Christ in the Christian bible is the form of the father in the form of man being verily GOD in the flesh. Now can I expect here any belittling when I have taken the time to share with you this truth?

    I should have known better; first he says what the scriptures- and Jesus- do.
    Then he dumps church sewage all over it....

    Actually, and technically, Jesus prayed to the Father. The Father is shown to be God.

    But the word, or concept "God" has subtle connotations that must be dealt with.

    Jesus was formerly the Word. The Word would later become flesh.

    As the Word, Jesus was God with God.. as Jesus the man.. Jesus was God (don't forget the essence of the Word) the Son, in ROLE subservient to the Father.
    2Co 11:1 I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me!

    According to the bible, there is one God, the Father. The bible never ever teaches that God is a triune being, or three persons making up one essence.
