Default The Curious Case Of George Carlin...

George Carlin is on record saying, There is no God.

Yet, I find this soliloquy expressed by George Carlin to be one the most spiritual expressions I ever heard.

Apparently I'm not the only one who thought this about the comedy bit, and the expression was published on the blog:

Spiritual Mind | Spirituality Made Simple:

They even made a movie about the idea called, The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.

I never saw the movie, but I heard about the premise.

Without further adieu, here is the comedy bit, from George Carlin

I want to live my next life backwards:

You start out dead and get that out of the way.

Then you wake up in a nursing home feeling better every day.

Then you get kicked out for being too healthy.

You enjoy your retirement and collect your pension.

Then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.

You work 40 years until you’re too young to work.

You get ready for High School: drink alcohol, party, and you’re generally promiscuous.

Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities.

Then you become a baby, and then…

You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions: central heating, room service on tap, and then…

You finish off as an orgasm. I rest my case.

I'd have enjoyed having my aging process frozen somewhere in my 30s or 40s. Maybe my 20s but with the wisdom I'd gained by my 30s and 40s.

The movie was based on a short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald. That probably prompted Carlin's routine too.
