ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz ..............mIs one of a group of three drugs used in death by injection in many states, and the maker of this drug has refused to allow it for killing prisoners. Not a problem. The manufacturer has in fact has demanded states that have it must return it.
Except that Arkansas has scheduled 8 different executions, over the next 10 days. Arkansas refuse to return their small quantity they had of this drug because their drug was about to become expired and they really wanted to use it before it expired.
Except that the state court has stopped the use of another drug Midazalam because it has doubts that it will perform what it is claimed it is supposed to do. Both of those drugs are part of the death penalty protocol. protocol that has not been used in over 12 years and there is no one skilled in applying them properly.
Next week is the time frame for Arkansas to choose to either go ahead and use these drugs or stop the whole process (not kill those inmates) and wait until there is a much clearer pathway for their executions.
