    A correction:

The title of the book is, NOT FOR SALE, by David Batstone.
The Return of the Global Slave Trade - and How We Can Fight It

It gives you world wide testimonies of what's going on out there.

    And the previous post-
The number (15,000) children being trafficked into this country every year, does not include the number of children stolen in this country everyday for the same purpose.

If there is any area that shows how sick this world really is and how fit for God's wrath that it is, this is it.

Even in this country a huge percentage of our young girls grow up to feel like men in general see them as no more than a sex toy, to be used, abused, and discarded.

And the supposed to be father figures that are doing it dismiss it as innocent play. They paint the victim as the one that is bad for seeing it the way they do.

    It is dispicable.

No,we haven't even scratched the surface yet -

Despite the proliferation of orphanages, the need is still greater. Nearly every orphanage in eastern Europe overflows its capacity and has a line of kids waiting to get in. To deal with overcapacity, the orphanages usually force the older children to leave once they reach the age of seenteen. Few of these kids have saving or vocational training that might lead to a job. Quick to identify their vulnerability, sex slave recruiters view these children as ripe pickings.

Recruiters have started pursuing children who live inside the orphanges as well. Sadly, the recruiters find willing collaborators inside the orphanages who will betray children a the right price. Human-rights groups report that orphans in the region are sold and trafficked internationally for use in child pornography rings.

For instance, in its 2003 report card on human trafficking, the U.S. State Department exposed orphange directors in Moldova for selling background information on children to traffickers and in some cases arranging their abduction. The report details imilar travesties in Romania, where "many orphanges are complicit in letting girls fall victim to trafficking networks." (Not for Sale) p.166-167
    James 1: 27
27Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

So why in nations with total religious freedoms, are we not doing what God commanded us to do?
Why is it that the biggest concern of churches today is how to reach the "unchurched?"

Newflash - People don't need to be CHURCHED. They need to be loved.
How about a little less CHURCH, and a whole lot more Christianity?
Who knows. It might just be crazy enough to work. Anybody listening???

(who, me? but i already have the little fish on my car.)

Jail for 'worst category' of child porn

A Victorian man caught with more than 50,000 child pornography images, including some in the "worst category", has been jailed for five years.

Ian David Blundell, 31, was found by police with 56,767 child porn images, 1608 videos and 963 documents and stories.

The images included babies as young as six months and torture.

    ...................

Judge Sue Pullen said the images comprised the "worst category" of child pornography and included babies as young as six months.

There were images of torture, bondage and bestiality.

Victims were distressed and crying, tied up and held down, Judge Pullen said.

Blundell's conduct must be regarded as "having contributed to the sexual exploitation of children", she said.

"There is no doubt child pornography is an international problem," Judge Pullen said.

    Thanks Bug, for posting that.

    Now-
While I'm really glad this guy got caught, what good it that going to do overall?
The trade will still continue stronger than ever.
The penalties have to be much more severe.
Personally, I'm a big fan of the idea of castration as a penalty.

Notice how nobody asked, where did these kids come from?
    Where are they now?
    Who is holdiing them hostage?
How do we get to these ring leaders?

It amazes me that people will still have discussions about demons coming out of books and demons popping out of candles, and can a demon posses a Smurf doll?
    KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!
You wanna see demons at work? Get involved in what's happening in the world.
Then there will be no doubt in your mind where they are.

We've had many cases of children being abducted and not found. Just recently there was a man arrested for human trafficking in Gainesville. It is all around us Eleven...you are right.

(Hebrews 3:13) .*.*.but keep on exhorting one another each day, as long as it may be called “Today,” for fear any one of YOU should become hardened by the deceptive power of sin.

Those who mess around with a fascination for porn are sorely disregarding that counsel and messing with something very dangerous.
