    I know something about chaos theory. I have heard it was discovered running climate models that gave dramatically different results if the inputs were rounded.

    You can think of it as estimating the path of water that is poured out near the continental divide. If you round one way, the water ends up in the Pacific. If you round another way, it ends up in the Atlantic.

    Small changes in inputs can yield dramatically different results.
